Custom PowerPoint design

I never would have guessed that I'd be designing pretty passport-themed templates at an eLearning company. With the latest client though, that is exactly what I had the opportunity to do! This client needed a PowerPoint template that would be used for a 90 minute presentation for employees from around the world, hence the idea of the passport theme.

This client needed the template right away, which meant some after-work hours for me...but I didn't mind, it's what I love to do. Getting lost and well invested in design programs like Adobe Illustrator is something that I truly enjoy doing. (And dinner can just wait!)

Pharmaceutical Sales Rep training

Very happy to announce that I recently completed my first web-based training course that was created in Articulate Engage. I had never worked with this program before, but it's basically like PowerPoint on steriods, where I have the ability to create assessments for the users of the course to take, and hopefully pass!

This project was exciting for me because it had a quick turn around time, which kept me on the edge of my seat, leaving me to deliver a successful and meaningful course, while keeping it on time and on budget. Given the positive feedback from the client, I think I did just that!

I look forward to creating more courses like this for pharmaceutical companies in the future, since they are so successful in truly transferring knowledge from one person to another.

Welcome!

Hello there and thank you for reading my blog. I am truly excited to be writing my first blog for Synaptis. I've had the job title "Learning Consultant" for six months now, however, it seems I wear many more hats than just that one. Maybe "Developer," "instructional designer in training," or "yes, I can help you with that poster design girl" would work better.

Being surrounded by very tech savvy, intelligent and hardworking people, I have learned a lot about the world of web-based training and eLearning. It will now be my passion to share that with you, letting you know what we are working on here at Synaptis and the creative juices that flow throughout this world of instructional design.
